Athletic Director
Ashley Bierman
Ashley and her husband Lonny are grateful to be a part of Indy Genesis. Their kids are Michael, Gabriel, Julian and Kayden. Her kids participate in track and cross country with Indy Genesis. Their family attends Shelbyville Community Church. Prior to homeschooling, Ashley worked as a caregiver and in the office of the private school her children attended. She served on the school board, was the chair of the parent service organization and was on the event planning committee. Ashley strives to serve the coaches, athletes and their families with a smoothly run season. Ashley enjoys spending time with family and running their small farm.
Holly Gollahan
Director of Spiritual Growth
Holly is married to Mark and their children are Elizabeth, Daniel, Jonathan, and Jared. Daniel joined Genesis Track and Field and Cross Country in 2020 and now Jonathan and Jared run also. She has served in leadership in American Heritage Girls and Trail Life for years. In her spare time, she enjoys working with her horse and spending time outside. She looks forward to getting to know the athletes and helping them to grow in their faith.
April Tolbert
Director of Community
April is married to Paul and their children are Stephen, Caleb, and Noah. Caleb and Noah joined IG soccer (Noah) and Cross Country (Caleb) when moving here from South Korea in fall of 2022. Noah and Caleb ran track in 2023. Aside from homeschooling Noah, April is a Family Nurse Practitioner working in Indianapolis, IN. April is a distance runner and a crafter in her spare time. She looks forward to getting to know the families better in this co-director of community role.
Christy Gliege
Treasurer
Cory and Christy met as friends at church camp in High School and later married, having celebrated their 31st anniversary this year. After first living in Saskatchewan, SK, Canada (Cory’s native land), they eventually settled in Indianapolis where they began their family and have welcomed their first grandchild, Walker Ames Nottingham from oldest daughter Emelia and husband, Asher. Graice and Hanna joined Indy Genesis, both participating in Track and Soccer and have loved every minute of it! As a bookkeeper, Christy is happy for the opportunity to serve the Indy Genesis Track Community as Treasurer and enjoys spending time with her family and traveling as often as life allows.
Jessica Bopp
Secretary
Matt and Jessy met at Johnson Bible College and have been married for years. Together they have four teenagers and one three-year-old that keeps everyone laughing, and have homeschooled from the beginning. The Bopps have been with Genesis for years, participating at different times in soccer, track, and cross country, and are also members of Fair Haven Christian Church, LOGIC Speech and Debate Club, SEEK, Boy Scout Troop 219, and Harbor Homeschool Group.”
Kelley Killibrew
Scheduler
Kelley is married to Mike and are living here in the Indy area that whole time. Their 4 children, Gunnar, Bella, Nora, and Sylvia have participated in Indy Genesis Track and love it! Mike and Kelley started homeschooling the kids years ago and are so thankful for the families they have met and the friendships formed because of Indy Genesis! As a family they are active in their home church, The Creek, here on the Southside. Kelley loves to read and travel when the opportunity presents itself and loves camping with her family.
Rick Sica
Head Coach
Rick is married to Denise and is blessed to have their children Caleb, Naomi, Eliya, Gianna, and Lydia. Rick has coached soccer for about seventeen years, four with Genesis, and has run competitively since 6th grade. In Rick's spare time, he likes to be involved in his children's activities and continues to workout and train for road races.
Jeff Zike
Assistant Coach - Long Distance
Jeff is married to Nicky and have 5 children: Calla, Molly , Teige, Katie , and Henry. He has been an avid runner for over 15 years doing many road and trail races ranging from 5ks to marathons. He continues to train and occasionally race, when his schedule permits. Jeff seeks to train young athletes that larger goals can be met through consistent workouts, pushing themselves and encouraging each other to improve with each week and each meet. He and his family enjoy watching movies, home improvement projects, playing board games, hiking, and other activities with friends and the homeschooling organizations they are involved in. They're members of Stones Crossing Church. Jeff also enjoys mountain biking, climbing, snowboarding, and fixing cars.
Jon Rupel
Assistant Coach - Sprints & Hurdles
Jon is married to his wonderful wife Laura and lives in Whiteland, IN with their four children Sydney, Bradley, Matthew and Addison. He competed in hurdles, sprint relays and high jump in both high school and college. This will be his second year as a coach for Indy Genesis Track. His goal is to help every athlete reach their full potential in anything they do, appreciate the hard work they put in to get there, and be an example of Christ and great sportsmanship along the way. In his spare time Jon enjoys spending time with his family, running, and reading.
Taylor Connett
Assistant Coach - Middle & Long Distance
Taylor’s from Erlanger, Kentucky where her family lives. She has an older sister, a younger brother and a younger sister. She recently moved to Indianapolis and is the graphic designer at Dycora. Taylor ran track in high school which started her love for running leading her to run cross country. Taylor is excited to be a part of the Indy Genesis community and wants to help the athletes become stronger physically, mentally and spiritually while having fun competing in the sport. Taylor enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her dog, watching t.v., and making art.
